Married and living in Coln St Aldwyns, our three children attend the school. I previously worked in marketing communications and now work part-time supporting my husband in his work as an illustrator. I particularly enjoy being involved in the school gardening and cookery clubs. Outside school I am an organiser of the CHEQS Summer Programme for local families.
I feel very fortunate to have moved to Coln St-Aldwyns two and half years ago from London. I grew up and was educated in Paris and Brussels. I am a chartered accountant as well as an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and divide my working week between these two activities. I believe that both disciplines will serve me well in my new role as governor. I am interested in children, their education and their key role in shaping the society of the future. I am a member of Coln Parochial Church Council.
We have two children at Hatherop Primary. I ran a mail order catalogue from home for ten years, and now am involved with promoting a local wedding venue. I am really pleased with the way our children are taught, and am proud to help the school by being a governor. My wife Kate runs the school choir in Friday lunch time.
I am very glad to be involved with the school because, as the Director of the Ernest Cook Trust (which owns farmland and houses in the area) I have much to do with the people and community of Hatherop and the local villages. The Trust is an educational charity and I am very interested in education: I am also a Governor of Coln House School, and a Trustee of a national educational charity that works with children from inner-city schools. I am married with four children, three of whom have left school; we live in Fairford.
I joined the Defence Studies Department of King’s College London (based at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham) as a lecturer in July 2004, when we also moved to Quenington and, subsequently, in February 2006, to Coln St Aldwyns. Previously I taught at the University of Birmingham, University of Warwick and Bristol University. We have two children at the school.
Born and lived in Coln St Aldwyns until I married Linda. Lived in Cirencester until I moved back to Coln in 2002. My two children both attend Hatherop Primary School. I am an Accountant in the Finance section at the Cotswold District Council. I have been involved with the local cricket club (Williamstrip) for over 30 years, and although no longer playing regularly, I am currently the club’s Secretary.
Married to Tom and farming in Fairford, we have 3 children at Hatherop. Before the children I was a Director at Hartpury College developing international business. Currently I work part time writing grant applications for rural businesses, am a columnist for a farming magazine and recently qualified as a Community First Responder. I enjoy the opportunity to play an active part in the school community.
I have been Head of Hatherop since 1986. I have taught all my working life and in very different places including Birmingham, Sussex and Japan. I originally intended to stay at Hatherop for only 2 years but I love the school and all the exciting things we do so much, I’ve stayed! I really enjoy teaching and seeing children develop through their years at Hatherop.
I teach class 2 and class 3 at different times. I am also Assistant Head. I have worked at Hatherop for 20 years and I also live in Hatherop with my husband Mike, who is Deputy Head at Farmor’s. I have two grown up children. I believe the Arts are a very important part of education and derive great pleasure from seeing the immense creativity that children are capable of in Art, Music, Dance and Drama.
Living in Quenington for the last 12 years, I have two daughters one at Hatherop Primary and one who who moved on to Farmor's a few years ago. My husband Simon is a self-employed electrician and I work full time at Farmor's School as Data & Exams Administrator. I am also kept busy as Treasurer of Quenington Village Institute Committee. With the school constantly looking to move forward and never resting on it's laurels, the role of Governor here is an interesting and varied one.
