Friends of Hatherop Primary School (The PTA)

We enjoy a very good relationship with our parents and the local community. We encourage parents to help in school and join us on school trips.  The more parents know about what goes on in school, the more they can support their child. We can then work together so that all of our children get the most from their education as well as having a lot of fun.”
Sally Davis, Headteacher

The PTA is led by a small group of parents and its aim is to raise funds for the school and to support various activities for the children, along with social events for the parents and children.

Money has been raised for the infrared computer trolley, interactive whiteboards as well as books and the rainbow sacks for the reception class to name just a few  - funds are always in demand!   They have produced calendars, tea towels and Christmas cards with fantastic artwork by the children.

Regular events which the PTA organise include the Christmas Social, Summer Fete, Harvest Festival as well as preparing teas for the private view at the local sculpture exhibition and various catering duties for school events.

Social events are very diverse with each new committee coming up with new ideas.  These have included concerts, quiz and chilli evenings, discos, pig roasts, craft afternoons. We always welcome any support, ideas and help from everyone, and need it!
