Sports/P.E.

The children have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports either indoors in the school hall or outdoors in the large school grounds or at the football field.  This includes gymnastics, dance, games and swimming.  There are different sports clubs throughout year. These include tag rugby, football, tennis, cross country running, netball, rounders, cricket, and hockey.

The children also have the opportunity to participate in sporting competitions at local and county level.  We have achieved great success in previous years in the Cross Country competitions, with some pupils going on to represent the county. We have also had success in the Tag Rugby Competitions and Track and Field tournaments within the area.

Hatherop Primary School hosts a Small Schools Football Competition annually. 10 to12 small village schools come to our football field to take part. Afterwards, all the teams and supporters are invited to have squash and biscuits in the playground.
