Gloucestershire County Council (GCC)

As a maintained school, Gloucestershire County Council is responsible for a number of ways in which the school is run, in particular admissions and penalty notices. They have influence over many decisions the school makes. They also provide support and advice for parents on SEN.

Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They report directly to Parliament and they are independent and impartial. They inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages. They last inspected our school in November 2013; click to see the report.

Parent View

Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about your child’s school, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. The survey can be completed at any time; you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.

Department of Education (DfE)

The Department of Education provides information, guidance on the National Curriculum, pedagogy and statutory assessments, as well as working with parents, child protection, health and wellbeing, and school leadership, including governance.

Family Lives (formerly Parentline Plus)

Family Lives (formerly Parentline Plus) provides information and support on issues facing parents. It has a free confidential helpline available seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and offers group workshops for parents and carers, addressing a wide range of issues.
