On Monday 1st July, the whole school visited the neighbouring village of Quenington for Fresh Air 2013, the biennial sculpture exhibition. We enjoyed a walk across the fields to see the stunning sculptures. Children had a great time, engaging with the varied sculptures. The theme was ‘Texture’ so there were some sculptures which children could touch. There were fantastic conversations about how sculptures were made, what materials they were made of and what they thought of them as well as what they felt like. The sun shone and we were complimented numerous times about the children’s superb behaviour.
