While we have a selection of class reading books, we encourage you to supplement these with books from home or the library. Share stories with your child as often as you can. The broader your child’s reading the better. Read with your child at least three times per week. All children, including fluent readers, benefit from reading aloud daily to an interested adult. Don’t forget to ask children questions about the text.
We ask that reading books are in school during the day so that they are available for teachers and support staff to hear your child read.
