Homework

Foundation and Year 1

Whilst we have a class reading timetable for the class reading books, we encourage you to use books from home, the library, etc, to share with your child as often as you can. The broader your child’s reading the better. We ask that reading books are in school during the day so that they are available for teachers and support adults to hear your child read.

We encourage children to read as often and as much as possible, but expect children to read for at least 20 minutes, twice a week.

All of Year 4/5/6 homework is given out well in advance of its deadline. This is to encourage the children to schedule their work over the week to fit in with domestic arrangements and their own priorities.

Occasionally, there will be studying for tests and science projects.
