A Typical Day at Hatherop C of E Primary School
7.35am
Breakfast Club opens.
8.35am
Children are greeted on the school playground by the Head Teacher and then enter their classrooms.
8.45am
The school day begins at 8.45am with registration.
9.00am
Various activities that prepare the children for reading, writing and mathematics, and let them experience art and craft and imaginative play. Many of these activities are often linked to a topic or theme which we explore for half or one term.
The school currently consists of three mixed-age classes. All classes are supported by experienced teaching assistants.

Collective worship
On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, collective worship is led by Mrs. Hancock or a class teacher, a member of the clergy or Open the Book. On Thursdays, we worship through song. On Fridays, we celebrate everyone’s achievements and our children are rewarded for their hard work with certificates and points for their house.

Classroom activities continue until 11.50am when we prepare for lunch.

Afternoon session. We often use part of this session for music, drama, P.E. or dance. As we often take advantage of good weather for outdoor P.E. sessions, it is important that P.E. clothes are at school from Monday to Friday with warm jogging bottoms for inclement weather.
3.00pm
End of the school day.
3.05pm
Our popular After School Club runs every day until 5pm.
